Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC)
Help make the experience for your cadet, the best one possible by joining the SSC. Parents and guardians of cadets are most welcome to join our volunteer team. We are a local group of volunteers who operate as a separate entity under the authority of the Air Cadet League, Ontario Provincial Committee*. We help support our squadron by raising funds for optional activities, the snack canteen, our training facility and generally anything else to support our cadets.
We are in need of people with great organization and communication skills. We help organize and pay for expenses such as facility rental, telephone, transportation, insurance, storage, location permits, and solicit for sponsors and donations, to name a few of the things we do. We make gifts and awards possible, undertake special event planning and trips, organize tagging locations and assist with activities that fall outside of the regular training schedule.
The stronger we are as a group, the better we can provide for our cadets! We need your help – please reach out to any of our members and let them know you want to help.
Even if you can’t physically come out, maybe you have business connections or can donate services or products. We would be most grateful for any assistance you can provide! The 8 Globemaster Squadron is a nationally registered charitable, non-profit organization.
Our members meet monthly.
