On February 9, 2025, cadets from 8 Globemaster Squadron participated in the Cricket Chill. The Cricket Chill activity is an outdoor physical activity in which cadets navigate an obstacle course with many different hurdles. The course was complicated due to the massive amount of snow having fallen at the Blackdown training centre.

The 5-kilometre race course included a low crawl, rope climbs, slides, a refreshment station and more! A variety of drinks, including a maple drink was served at the refreshment station. Nearing the finish line, cadets tackled the main obstacle which was a 13-foot-tall, A-frame climb. After finishing the race participants received a cool call-out and a snack bar.

For lunch, the Blackdown staff worked hard to prepare a delicious meal of chicken, rice, vegetables and mac ā€˜n’ cheese. All in all, Cricket Chill was an unforgettable experience for all Cadets, whether they enjoyed the snow and/or the activities.

It was a great time for everyone!
