Two of the three aims of the cadet programme is to develop the attributes of good citizenship, and leadership in youth. Effective Speaking helps develop these skills by reinforcing cadets’ communication skills. They can develop new relationships, the ability to reason, and express ideas, self-confidence, collaboration, and self-discipline. Although the club may sound very formal, meetings are very enjoyable, and allow cadets to come together and talk.
