During the weekend of Nov 4-6, 2022, our 8 Globemaster cadets went poppying. Now, you may be wondering what poppying is. The Poppy Campaign is an initiative created by the Royal Canadian Legion, with an opportunity for 8 Globemaster RCACS cadets to support our local Legion Branch 375. Poppy distribution is a way for cadets to help support veterans and their families. All proceeds from the donations go directly to the legion to support veterans. For most cadets, this was a new experience, similar to tagging. As Remembrance Day has recently passed, we hope that cadets think about the impact that veterans have had in our community, and how doing providing support with handing poppies out can reflect on our neighbourhood, and the cadet unit as civil-minded citizens.
